Office Stock delivers office furniture and workplace products across South Africa. This policy explains estimates, charges, access requirements and what to do when an order arrives.
Nothing in this policy limits any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be limited under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA), the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (ECTA), the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA), or another applicable South African law.
We deliver to serviceable addresses throughout South Africa using our own arrangements and third-party carriers. Some remote areas, farms, mines, estates and sites with controlled access may require a quotation, collection point or extra time. We will contact you if the checkout delivery option is unsuitable for the address.
These are estimates, not guaranteed dates. Lead times may be longer for remote destinations, public holidays, year-end factory closures, unusually large orders or circumstances beyond reasonable control. We will communicate a material change and agree a revised timeframe where necessary.
Standard orders normally require 1 to 2 business days for payment verification and preparation before dispatch. An item shown online may sell out before stock systems update. If goods are unavailable, we will notify you promptly and offer an alternative, revised timeframe or refund as required by law.
Unless a different period is agreed, ECTA requires an online order to be executed within 30 days after receipt. If we do not perform within that or the agreed period, applicable consumers may cancel on seven days' written notice. If goods are unavailable, ECTA refund requirements apply.
Charges are calculated at checkout or stated on a quotation using the destination, product size, weight, order value and any special service. Additional services such as assembly, installation, stair carries, after-hours delivery or difficult-access handling are included only when expressly listed. We will ask for approval before adding a charge not already accepted.
Standard furniture delivery is to a safe, accessible ground-floor or kerbside receiving point unless a different service is confirmed in writing. Before ordering, check doorways, passages, lifts and staircases and tell us about access restrictions, loading rules, security booking procedures or permits. The customer must ensure that an authorised adult can receive and inspect the order.
If delivery cannot be completed because the address is incorrect, no authorised person is present, or an undisclosed access restriction prevents delivery, we may arrange redelivery and charge a reasonable additional cost disclosed beforehand, where permitted by law.
We will provide tracking or delivery updates when available. A multi-item order may arrive in separate consignments. Partial delivery does not affect your rights in respect of missing or delayed goods.
Inspect packaging and goods as soon as reasonably possible. Record visible damage or shortages on the delivery note and take photographs. Please notify sales@officestock.co.za within 24 hours where possible so that we can preserve carrier evidence and respond quickly. This request does not shorten any non-excludable statutory claim period.
Risk passes when the goods are delivered to you or your authorised recipient, subject to applicable law. If an event outside reasonable control delays delivery, we will take reasonable steps to limit the effect and keep you informed. Your statutory cancellation or refund rights remain unaffected.
